The print comes from a graphics calendar from the graphics store INKT. The graphic workshop in The Hague has printed calendars from 1985 to 1993 with original screen prints. Each edition was given a unique shape, making them real collector's items, each with a wide variety of images and graphic techniques. This print is from the 1985 calendar.

Johan van den Berg is an artist from The Hague who studied at the Free Academy of Visual Arts Psychopolis in The Hague. He is a member of the artists' association De Haagse Kunstkring. He worked as a painter, draftsman, graphic artist and poet and mostly made non-figurative work. His work is included in many private collections in the Netherlands and abroad. His work is also part of the collection of the Haags Gemeentemuseum, the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam and the National Collection.
