Adé Peters graduated from the art academy in Amsterdam and in the following years has always combined artistry with teaching. Her work shows a wide range of subjects and techniques. For example, Peters works with pencil, charcoal, pastel, oil paint and acrylic paint. In all this work, the predilection for a natural world of forms and an intensive, layered treatment of materials dominates. In addition to models, portraits and landscapes (preferably without houses), Peters likes to paint abstract or semi-abstract. Her abstract work is also reminiscent of organic structures, growths, or other conceivable phenomena from nature.
