Ernst Fuchs Vienna, Austria, 1930-2015 Fuchs studied at the art school in Vienna, where he was already admitted at the age of 15. His works were influenced early in his career by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. In the 1950s, Fuchs lived mainly in Paris. He got to know various artists such as Salvador Dalí and Arno Breker. Themes that often returned in his paintings were religion and sex. Fuchs did not only work as a painter. He also conducted opera performances by Richard Wagner and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Together with Robin Page he presented a drawing program on the WRD.
Fuchs passed away in 2015 at the age of 85. He had sixteen children by seven wives.
